Who was richer than a goddess? The Bandit Spider loved nothing more than to steal the wealth of travelers, though it was admittedly more difficult to get it out of the owner when said owner didn't have pockets. For whatever reason, this white wolf, Amaterasu, had walked straight into the web the spider had hung for catching prey. The spider had skittered to begin looting ... only to find that a blue-furred wolf had jumped in after her, in some futile attempt to free her. The foolishness of heroes! The giant arachnid had simply poisoned them both, leaving them without the strength to do anything more than breathe. Surely the potential for personal enrichment was immense! As such, the great demon dragged the both of them underground, to face their fates.
Prowling around the great cavern where he laired, the spider paid no heed to the tightly webbed couple. Amaterasu and Oki had been wrapped head to toe, their paws and tails firmly against their bodies, secure in their silk cocoons. Both had lengths of sticky silk sealing their jaws shut, preventing more than a whimper from escaping. The white-furred wolf had also had her eyes covered, covering her completely except for her nose and ears and leaving her more helpless than any other captor could manage. Oki, on the other hand, hung upside-down from the ceiling, the thin but immensely strong silk strand attaching him to the surface above letting him swing very slightly in the wind, had there been any underground. Neither moved, and even when they recovered from the poison they wouldn't. Oh, how fun it was to prey on foolish, unprepared travelers!
