Just how much hair did she shed on a daily basis anyway? Amaterasu had never paid much heed to the fact that her fur grew, died, and fell out like that of any other wolf, but shortly after being struck by the Lucky Mallet, she had become separated from Issun (probably for the better) and, naturally, ambushed by demons. Apparently being tiny gave them strength beyond imagining, as they'd held her down effortlessly, quickly tied her up with white and black strands, wrapped further hairs over her mouth in a tight woven cover, and left her to her imprisonment. Why demons seemed to like to just leave her lying helpless in the middle of nowhere she didn't know. Maybe it was some idea of a demonic joke. Whether it was preferable to being beaten into unconsciousness ...

In any case, Amaterasu was well and truly trapped. Doubtless when she told people about this later they'd ask why she hadn’t used Power Slash to get out. This always infuriated her, as she'd told them time and time again she couldn’t cut through anything stronger than paper when it was stuck to her body, unless she felt like hurting herself. However, in this case there were a number of further justifications for her current problem. First of all, apparently her shed hair was still coated with ink, and that somehow interfered with her brushwork. And on top of that, she had been placed in a sort of cell, made of what could have been diamond for all that she'd feebly scratched at it. Her magic couldn’t so much as create a pinhole. The goddess hoped she wouldn’t need to.
